Originally from Madhepura, Bihar, Dr. Anand completed his medical education at Patna Medical College before undergoing specialist postgraduate training in Raipur and at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow, India.
